No Todo Se Cura Con Vicks's Podcast
Yessenia, Haydee and Maggie are first generation Dominican Americans. They share their experiences of being raised by inmigrants parents, navigating the American culture while remaining loyal to their Dominican culture and upbringing.
They get real about their experiences with oppression, racism, and their own personal self discovery journey, while detaching from the cycle of generational trauma, and starting a new generational cycle of self love, acceptance and empowerment.
Our mission is to share important information about our culture, our upbringing, our own challenges, and our journey towards self discovery. As well as provide resources and guidance.

Y ESE PAJON?
The Dominican culture favors European features due to colonization. Curly, Frizzy, or Kinky hair is called " Pelo Malo" which translates to " Bad Hair ", and most women feel the pressure to treat it since the culture favors long, straight hair. In this episode, we share our own personal journeys on how we embrace our curls and our African roots, Our experiences in the Salon, and how we still find balance and speak on our"MOMENTOS " en la Secadora and in Rolos as part of our identity.
